When a truck carrying captured Manateeth overturns in the heart of Detroit, the city's abandoned factories, flooded neighborhoods, and forgotten underground tunnels become the perfect breeding ground for the ravenous predators. As panic spreads and officials dismiss the attacks as gang violence and wild-animal sightings, an out-of-work auto worker, a fearless local journalist, and a grizzled DNR officer uncover a horrifying conspiracy tied to an illegal biotech operation. With an entire city on the brink of becoming feeding territory, the unlikely trio must navigate crumbling assembly plants, storm drains, and the Detroit River to stop the growing swarm before it escapes into the Great Lakes—turning an entire region into the world's largest hunting ground.
